Animal Information / Adoption Information
Pre Adopption Screening/Medical Work

All potential adopters must fill out an adoption application.

Animals placed for adoption at the DeKalb County Animal Services facility will be screened for health and temperament.  Animals available are heartworm tested and negative when put into the adoption ward, and have received specific vaccinations.  Animals may also have a current Rabies vaccine that was administered by a licensed Veterinarian.  Many animals are already altered and ready to adopt, but, if not, all animals will be altered before leaving the facility.
